JUICE began as an ironic response to Minimalism and its approach to authorship. Minimalist artists could have an object fabricated by a craftsman anywhere in the world according to their specifications, while authorship remained with the artist.
JUICE transfers this logic to global mass production. Today, an artist can buy a ready-made object manufactured in China almost anywhere in the world, install it in an exhibition, and become its author.
